A question on "violence"

I was reviewing my notes, and I have down that I was told "Violence is not the solution to your problems."

I took the meaning of not letting it become the first thing to come to mind, if there are other solutions available to me, to heart.

But also, I feel like I've continously misunderstood what that actually means.

What is defined as violence? When does violence as a solid conclusion differ from falling to the impulse of your feelings?

I'm honestly not even sure if the kinds of questions I'm asking about this are the best. But I do know that this is me trying my best with what I can shape.

Thank you ahead! 🤍

Violence is any action the leads to harm.

Violence is not the answer for you because it is addictive in that it provides an immediate relief and gratification. Yet, violence does not resolve your issues permanently. Instead you should use your head, find real lasting solutions and not let the impulsive thoughts of "let me just end this quickly" lead you astray.
