Prayer vs Petition

Tata spoke about how the spirits will wait for us to ask for help bc they be minding they business until we pray. But then there are petitions. My question is, when is it more appropriate to petition for something than to pray for something?

A petition is a form of a prayer. Its like saying well we gonna run this prayer like this.

So the answer is... whenever. Prayer can be petition or it can just be prayer. Let your intuition and spirits guide you on that.
